Activity Tracking
The Activity Tracking feature helps you log and manage your daily tasks and interactions as part of your real estate business. Whether you’re meeting with investors, touring properties, or attending networking events, this tool ensures you stay organized and accountable. You can also associate activities with your contacts or accountability groups for better tracking and collaboration.
Introduction to Activity Tracking
In the fast-paced world of real estate, keeping track of your activities is essential for success. Activity Tracking allows you to:
- Record details of your activities, such as type, description, and time spent.
- Associate activities with specific contacts or accountability groups.
- Review your activity history to analyze productivity and identify areas for improvement.
This feature is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, helping you focus on growing your real estate business.
Logging an Activity
To log a new activity:
- Navigate to the Activity Tracking section of your dashboard.
- Click on the New Activity button.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Activity Type: Select from a dropdown list of predefined types (see below for details).
- Description: Provide a brief summary of the activity.
- Notes: Add any additional details or observations.
- Date: Choose the date when the activity occurred.
- Total Time: Enter the duration of the activity in hours and minutes.
- Optionally, associate the activity with one or more contacts or accountability groups (see relevant sections below).
- Click Save to record the activity.
Your activity will now appear in your activity log, where you can view and manage it as needed.
Activity Types
When logging an activity, select the appropriate type from the following options:
- Investors: Activities related to communicating with or meeting potential or current investors.
- Brokers: Interactions with real estate brokers or agents.
- Real Estate Attorney: Consultations or meetings with legal professionals specializing in real estate.
- Management Company: Activities involving property management companies.
- Underwriting: Time spent analyzing and evaluating potential real estate deals.
- Asset Management: Tasks related to managing existing real estate assets.
- Property Tours: Visiting and inspecting properties.
- Training: Attending workshops, courses, or other educational events.
- Networking Event: Participating in industry gatherings or social events.
- Other: Any activity that doesn’t fit into the above categories.
Choosing the correct type helps you categorize your activities for better organization and reporting.
Adding Notes to Contacts
You can link activity notes directly to your contacts, creating a record of all interactions in one place.
To add an activity note to a contact:
- While logging a new activity or editing an existing one, look for the Add to Contacts option.
- Select the contact(s) you want to associate with this activity from your contact list.
- The activity’s notes will be automatically added to the selected contact’s profile.
This feature ensures you have a comprehensive history of all dealings with each contact, making it easier to manage relationships and follow up on past interactions.
Accountability Groups and Activities
If you’re part of an accountability group, you can add activities directly from these groups to share progress with peers.
To add an activity from an accountability group:
- Navigate to your accountability group’s page.
- Look for the Add Activity option within the group interface.
- Follow the same steps as logging a regular activity.
- The activity will be automatically associated with the accountability group, allowing group members to see and comment on your progress.
This integration helps you stay accountable and fosters a supportive community of like-minded professionals.
Viewing and Managing Activity Logs
All your logged activities can be viewed in the Activity Log section of your dashboard. Here, you can:
- Filter activities by date, type, or associated contacts/groups.
- Sort activities chronologically or by other criteria.
- Edit or delete existing activities as needed.
- Export your activity log for reporting or analysis purposes.
Regularly reviewing your activity log provides valuable insights into your productivity and helps you adjust your focus or time management as needed.
